Mindfulness

As the world is fast returning back to our new normal, it is important that we all take time to consider what is important and to help our mental health heal after such a testing period of time. It is also important to remember that Mindfulness is as beneficial for our little ones as well as us.

Mindfulness can be defined as “a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations.” In other words, Mindfulness is to be totally present, and understanding of ourselves in every sense. At New Park Manor we know how you must be feeling and we are here to help you feel calm, de-stressed and most importantly we are here to help you learn how to make time for mindfulness even when you aren’t staying with us anymore.

Some great examples of Mindfulness which are available at the hotel include: 

Reiki– A deeply powerful holistic therapy, allow your therapist to unblock energy pathways and allow you to feel more grounded and connected.

Yoga for Children and Adults – A truly magical family experience, teaching the whole family how to breathe, relax and find time for silence. (Available 24th, 31st July, 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th August)

Cycling in The New Forest – Be at one with nature, hire one of our bikes and take yourself off for hours of exploring to clear your mind. We can arrange bike hire for your family through our local Bike hire company, Cycle Experience.

Forest Bathing – The New Forest National Park is over 220 square miles just waiting to be explored. Forest Bathing has become a popular exercise for not only the health of the body but the mind too. With the benefits of vitamin D, movement, fresh air and digital detoxing, Forest Bathing aims to calm your mind, body and soul in particular times of stress or worry.

There are so many ways which you and your family can help yourselves to be more mindful, we’ll let you decide which suits you best, but one thing’s for sure, we have so many opportunities to do so with us.
