Experiences make memories. Whether you're after adventure or relaxation this autumn, be inspired with our selection of the best experiences that New Park Manor and the New Forest have to offer.
Believe it or not the New Forest is very close to some great beaches, it's not all about forests and trees! For those after some sand and sea air then it is only a short car ride away and we can even give you a bucket and spade or crab line to help you with your adventures. For details of the local beaches see our blog on beaches.
Whilst at the hotel the team can provide directions and a list of beaches close to the hotel, or a little further afield, for you to explore.
Walking in the New Forest
We are located in the heart of the New Forest and there are many beautiful walks right on our doorstep. There are more than 140 miles of walking route for all abilities in the Forest. One of our personal favourites is at Bolderwood, where there is also a deer viewing platform where you can see them being fed at certain times of the day. Autumn is a beautiful time of year to explore in the forest and see all the pretty autumnal colours come to life.
The New Forest has miles of cycling tracks and routes for you to enjoy. We have teamed up with local cycle hire company, Cycle Experience, who are able to deliver bikes to the hotel if you wish (please note this should be booked in advance and minimum numbers apply). The reception team at the hotel can provide details of the route straight from the hotel.
On the River
If you want to get out on the water and have a proper adventure then head to New Forest Activities at Beaulieu. They offer canoeing or kayaking tours down the river Beaulieu. You will have the chance to spot local wildlife, explore the wide waters and find hidden creeks.
Gardens and Nature
Exbury gardens is set in 200 acres of magical gardens in a woodland landscape. Its perfect for tiring out little feet whilst taking in some of the finest gardens in the county. Autumn is a great time of year to catch the last blooms and see the autumnal colours creep in.
Around 30 minutes from the hotel you will find Marwell Zoo. Set in over 140 acres, it is home to hundreds of animals.
